25×31″. Published in Philadelphia in 1845 by William Smith. Features a full-length portrait of Washington w/ his left hand on the hilt of a sword on his belt, and his right hand handing a telescope to a soldier. The young man is holding the reins of Washington’s rearing horse. In the background is a battlefield scene. Even age toning on margins, as well as moderate edge wear, most notably small loss in upper right corner and some small edge tears. Beautifully hand-colored, making this a standout. Technically Fine, but will frame to Exc. An impressive display item featuring America’s first president.
