Smallest is 2.5×3″. Other ribbons are each 8″ long. Small ribbon is dated July 27-29, 1830. Square ribbon has red and blue swatches behind it. Other ribbons are undated but feature portrait of Lafayette and were produced in 1824 to celebrate his famed visit to America. Lafayette was a key figure in the July Revolution in 1830, and many Frenchmen urged him to rule the new regime. However, he ultimately negotiated a deal for Louis-Philippe to take the throne, and after a short period as head of the National Guard, the aging Lafayette went into retirement. Each has moderate wear and handling w/ some toning, as well as pinholes and some light creasing. All are Fine.
